وَقَالَ قَرِينُهُۥ هَٰذَا مَا لَدَيَّ عَتِيدٌ

また、彼の同伴者（天使*）は言う。「これが、私のもとで用意されたものです」。

「同伴者」とは、現世での人間の行いを記録していた天使のことで、「用意されたもの」とは行いの帳簿（ちょうぼ）のこと（前掲書、同頁参照）。高壁章８の訳注も参照。
