17 : 8
عَسَىٰ رَبُّكُمۡ أَن يَرۡحَمَكُمۡۚ وَإِنۡ عُدتُّمۡ عُدۡنَاۚ وَجَعَلۡنَا جَهَنَّمَ لِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ حَصِيرًا
Your Lord may bestow mercy upon you, but if you return [to sin], We will return [to punishment]. And We have made Hell a prison for the disbelievers.”
Explanation & meanings · 1
- After this great affliction, Allah would give them back their lost sovereignty, but if they revert back to their old rebellious ways then the way of Allah is never changing.
