I came to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) along with a group of women from the Ansār to pledge allegiance to him. We said: O Messenger of Allah, we pledge allegiance to you that we will not associate anything with Allah, we will not steal, we will not commit adultery, we will not bring forth any falsehood that we fabricate between our hands and feet, and we will not disobey you in what is right. He said: "As much as you are able and can bear." She said: We said: Allah and His Messenger are more merciful to us. Come, let us pledge allegiance to you, O Messenger of Allah. But the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, I do not shake hands with women. My statement to a hundred women is like my statement to one woman, or similar to my statement to one woman."
Authentic Narrated by At-Tirmidhi, An-Nasā’i, Ibn Mājah
I went to Safwān ibn ‘Assāl al-Murādi to ask him about wiping over leather socks. He said: What brought you here, O Zirr? I said: Pursuit of knowledge. He said: Indeed, the angels lower their wings for the seeker of knowledge out of pleasure for what he seeks. I said: I entertain some doubts regarding wiping over leather socks after defecation or urination. Now since you are one of the Prophet's Companions, I have come to ask you whether you heard him say anything about this. He replied: Yes. He used to command us, when we were on a journey or were travellers, not to remove our leather socks for three days and nights—except in the case of Janābah (major ritual impurity). In other cases such as defecation, urination, or sleep, it is sufficient to wipe over leather socks. Then I asked him: "Did you hear him say anything about love?" He replied: Yes. While we were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) on a journey, a Bedouin called out in a loud voice: O Muhammad! The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) replied in the same tone: "Here I am!" We said to him (the Bedouin): Woe to you! Lower your voice, for you are in the Prophet's presence, where you are not allowed to do so. He said: By Allah, I will not lower my voice. The Bedouin said: What about a person who loves some people but cannot catch up with them? The Prophet (ﷺ) replied: "A person shall be with those whom he loves on the Day of Judgment." He kept speaking to us, and during his speech he mentioned a gate in the direction of the west, the width of which a rider crosses its width in forty or seventy years.
Authentic Narrated by At-Tirmidhi, Ibn Mājah, and Ahmad
A man asked the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him), saying: O Messenger of Allah, we travel by sea, and we carry with us a little water. If we make ablution with it, we will be thirsty. Can we make an ablution with the seawater? The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Its water is purifying, and its dead animals are lawful."
Authentic Narrated by Abu Dāwūd, At-Tirmidhi, An-Nasā’i, Ibn Mājah, and Ahmad
"Whoever regularly observes four Rak‘ahs before Zhuhr and four after it, Allah will make him forbidden to Hellfire."
Authentic Narrated by Abu Dāwūd, At-Tirmidhi, An-Nasā’i, Ibn Mājah, and Ahmad
"When any of you enters the mosque, let him send peace upon the Prophet and say: Allāhumma iftahli abwāba rahmatik (O Allah, open for me the gates of Your mercy). And when he leaves, let him send peace upon the Prophet and say: Allāhumma i‘simni min ash-shaytān ar-rajīm (O Allah, protect me from the accursed devil)." In another narration by Al-Hākim: "When he leaves, let him send peace upon the Prophet (ﷺ) and say: Allāhumma ajirni min ash-shaytān ar-rajīm (O Allah, save me from the accursed devil)."
Hasan Narrated by Ibn Mᾱjah and Al-Hᾱkim
The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to say between the two prostrations: "Allahumma ighfir li warhamni wa ‘āfeni wahdeni warzuqni (O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, grant me safety, guide me, and provide for me)".
Hasan (sound) by virtue of other supportive narrations Narrated by Abu Dāwūd, At-Tirmidhi, Ibn Mājah, and Ahmad
"Do not strike the female servants of Allah." Then ‘Umar came to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and said: Women have become bold toward their husbands. So the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) permitted striking them. Then many women came to the family of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) complaining about their husbands. So the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, many women have come to the family of Muhammad complaining about their husbands. Those (men) are not the best among you."
Authentic Narrated by Abu Dāwūd and Ibn Mājah
