"Allah has pardoned for me the mistakes and forgetfulness of my Ummah, and what they were coerced into doing."
An-Nawawi said: It is a Hasan (sound) Hadīth. Narrated by Ibn Mājah, Al-Bayhaqī, and others
"Indeed, Allah will distinguish a man from my Ummah before all of creation on the Day of Judgment. Ninety-nine scrolls will be laid out for him; each scroll will be as far as the eye can see. Then, He will say: 'Do you deny any of this? Have those who recorded this wronged you?' He will say: 'No, O Lord!' He will say: 'Do you have an excuse?' He will say: 'No, O Lord!' So, He will say: 'Rather you have a good deed with us; so, you will not be wronged today.' Then, He will bring out a card, in which it is written: 'I testify that there is no god but Allah and I testify that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger.' He will say: 'Bring your scale.' He will say: 'O Lord, what good is this card next to these scrolls?' He will say: 'You will not be wronged.' The scrolls will be put on a pan (of the scale), and the card on (the other) pan. The scrolls will be light, and the card will be heavy, for nothing is heavier than the name of Allah."
Authentic Narrated by At-Tirmidhi and Ibn Mājah
When the following verse was revealed {Then, on that Day, you will definitely be questioned about your worldly pleasures.} [Surat at-Takāthur: 8], Az-Zubayr said: "O Messenger of Allah, which pleasures will we be asked about; there are only the two black things: dates and water?" He said: "This will certainly come."
Hasan Narrated by At-Tirmidhi and Ibn Mājah
"Whoever causes harm will be harmed by Allah, and whoever causes hardship will be put in hardship by Allah."
Hasan Narrated by Abu Dāwūd, At-Tirmidhi, Ibn Mājah, and Ahmad
The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned something and said: "That will be at the time when knowledge disappears." I said: "O Messenger of Allah, how will knowledge disappear when we recite the Qur’an and teach it to our children, and they teach it to their children (and so on) until the Day of Judgment?" He said: "May your mother be bereaved of you, O Ziyād! I thought you were the most knowledgeable man in Madīnah. Is it not the case with these Jews and Christians who read the Torah and the Gospel, yet they do not act upon anything therein?!"
Sahih/Authentic by virtue of corroborating evidence. Narrated by Ibn Maajah
I was on a journey in the company of the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him). One morning I was close to him when we were on the move, so I said: O Messenger of Allah, inform me of a deed that admits me to Paradise and keeps me far from Hellfire. He said: "You have asked me about a great matter, which is, indeed, easy for whomever Allah makes it easy. Worship Allah and do not associate anything with Him, establish the prayer, give Zakah, fast Ramadan, and make Hajj to the House." Then he said: "Shall I not guide you to the gates of goodness? Fasting is a shield, charity extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire, and a man's prayer in the dead of night." He said: Then he recited: "{They forsake their beds} until he reached {what they used to do} [Surat as-Sajdah: 16-17]." Then he said: "Shall I inform you of the head of the whole matter, its pillar, and its peak?" I said: Yes, O Messenger of Allah. He said: "The head of the matter is Islam, its pillar is the prayer, and its peak is Jihad." Then he said: "Shall I inform you of what holds all these things?" I said: Yes, O Prophet of Allah. So he took hold of his tongue and said: "Keep this under control." I said: O Prophet of Allah, are we held accountable for what we speak? He said: "May your mother lose you, O Mu‘ādh! What else casts people into Hellfire on their faces or on their noses other than the harvest of their tongues?"
Sahīh (authentic) based on its overall chains of transmission Narrated by At-Tirmidhi, Ibn Mājah, and Ahmad
