"When two Muslims meet to fight each other with their swords, both the killer and the killed are doomed to Hellfire." I said: "O Messenger of Allah, that is the case with the killer, but what about the killed one?" He said: "Indeed, he was keen to kill his companion."

"Allah Almighty said: 'I am the One Who is most free from want of partners. So, he who does something for the sake of someone else beside Me, I discard him and his polytheism.'"

"Purity is half of faith, al-hamdulillāh (praise be to Allah) fills the Scale, and subhān Allah wa al-hamdulillāh (glory and praise be to Allah) fills what is between the heavens and the earth. Prayer is light, charity is proof, patience is radiance, and the Qur’an is an argument either for you or against you. Every person goes out in the morning and sells his soul; he either saves it from doom or throws it into destruction."

Are you not (living) in ease, with food and drink as much as you desire? I have seen your Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him), and he could not even find low-quality dates to fill his stomach.

"Whoever says a hundred times in a day: "La ilāha illallāhu wahdahu la sharīka lah, lahu al-mulku wa lahu al-hamdu wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadīr" (There is no god but Allah. He is One, and He has no partner with Him; to Him belong the sovereignty and praise, and He is competent over all things); he will have a reward equivalent to that of emancipating ten slaves; a hundred good deeds will be added to his record; a hundred of his sins will be erased; and he will be shielded against the devil on that day till the evening; and no one will exceed him in doing good deeds except someone who says more than that."

"And verily, Allah revealed to me that you must be humble, so that no one boasts of oneself before another or oppresses another."

"Indeed, Allah does not look at your appearance and wealth, but He looks at your hearts and deeds.”

"Among those who were before you, there was a man who had an injury. He was impatient, so he took a knife and made a cut in his hand and bled to death. Allah Almighty said: My slave hastened to bring about his demise; I have forbidden Paradise for him."
