"The best dhikr is lā ilāha illa Allah (there is no god but Allah), and the best supplication is Alhamdulillah (praise be to Allah)."

"Whoever says three times: 'In the name of Allah, with Whose name nothing in the earth or the heaven can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing' will not suffer sudden affliction until the morning; and whoever says it in the morning three times will not suffer sudden affliction until the evening." He said: Abān ibn ‘Uthmān was struck with paralysis, and the man who heard the Hadīth from him started looking at him, so, he said to him: Why are you looking at me? By Allah, I did not tell a lie about 'Uthmān, nor did ‘Uthmān tell a lie about the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him), but the day I was afflicted with this, I got angry and forgot to say it.

The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) never abandoned these supplications in the evening and the morning: "O Allah, I ask You for well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religion, my worldly life, my family, and my wealth. O Allah, conceal my imperfection—or  my imperfections—and secure my fears. O Allah, protect me from before me, from behind me, from my right, from my left, and from above me, and I seek refuge with Your greatness from being suddenly killed from beneath me."
Authentic Narrated by Abu Dāwūd, An-Nasā’i, Ibn Mājah, and Ahmad
"What do I have to do with this worldly life? I am in this worldly life like a rider who seeks shade under a tree, then he goes away and leaves it."
Authentic Narrated by At-Tirmidhi and Ibn Mājah
"The son of Adam does not fill any vessel worse than his stomach. It is enough for the son of Adam to eat a few mouthfuls to straighten his back, but if he must (fill his stomach), then one-third for his food, one-third for his drink, and one-third for his breath."
Authentic Narrated by Imam Ahmad, At-Tirmidhi, An-Nasā’i, and Ibn Mājah
"O Allah, I ask You for all that is good, the immediate and the deferred thereof, what I know and what I do not know. And I seek refuge with You from all that is evil, the immediate and the deferred thereof, what I know and what I do not know. O Allah, I ask You for the good that Your slave and Prophet asked You for, and I seek refuge with You from the evil that Your slave and Prophet sought refuge from. O Allah, I ask You for Paradise and what brings one closer to it of words or deeds, and I seek refuge with You from the Fire and from what brings one closer to it of words or deeds, and I ask You to make every decree that You have decreed for me good."
Authentic Narrated by Ibn Mājah and Ahmad
