"There is no marriage except with a guardian."
Authentic Narrated by Abu Dāwūd, At-Tirmidhi, Ibn Mājah, and Ahmad
I said: O Messenger of Allah, what is the right of the wife of any of us over him? He said: "To feed her when you eat, clothe her when you clothe yourself, or when you earn money, do not strike on the face, do not revile, and do not forsake except inside the house."
Hasan Narrated by Abu Dāwūd, Ibn Mājah, and Ahmad
"Any woman who marries without the permission of her guardians, her marriage is void—three times—and if he consummated the marriage with her, she would be entitled to the dowry in return for his copulation with her. If a dispute arises between them, the ruler shall be the guardian of whoever has no guardian."
Authentic Narrated by Abu Dāwūd, At-Tirmidhi, Ibn Mājah, and Ahmad
"Whoever has two wives and is inclined to one of them will come on the Day of Judgment with his side inclined."
Authentic Narrated by Abu Dāwūd, At-Tirmidhi, An-Nasā’i, Ibn Mājah, and Ahmad
The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) taught us the sermon of need: "Praise be to Allah. We seek His help and forgiveness. We seek refuge with Him from the evils of our souls. Whoever Allah guides, none can lead astray, and whoever Allah leads astray, none can guide. I testify that there is no god but Allah, and I testify that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. {O people, fear your Lord Who created you from a single soul, and created from it its mate, and from both of them created countless men and women. Fear Allah in Whose name you ask one another, and be mindful of your kinship ties, for Allah is ever Watchful over you.} [Surat an-Nisā’: 1] {O you who believe, fear Allah as He should be feared, and do not die except as Muslims.} [Surat Āl-‘Imrān: 102] {O you who believe, fear Allah and say what is right, He will guide you to righteous deeds and forgive your sins. Whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger will surely achieve a supreme triumph.} [Surat al-Ahzāb: 70-71]"
Authentic Narrated by Abu Dāwūd, At-Tirmidhi, An-Nasā’i, Ibn Mājah, and Ahmad
"Do not strike the female servants of Allah." Then ‘Umar came to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and said: Women have become bold toward their husbands. So the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) permitted striking them. Then many women came to the family of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) complaining about their husbands. So the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, many women have come to the family of Muhammad complaining about their husbands. Those (men) are not the best among you."
Authentic Narrated by Abu Dāwūd and Ibn Mājah
